This course is intended for Physicians of all specialties, Nurses, and Other Health Care Professionals with appropriate CME / CE credit offered for each profession.

All participants must achieve a final assessment score of at least seventy percent (70%) for recertification and continuing education credits. You have 60 days to complete the course after ordering.

About The Authors

Sam Toney, MD
Dr. Sam Toney is founder, president, and CEO of Toney HealthCare Consulting, a clinical, quality and regulatory healthcare consulting firm serving healthcare organizations nationwide. He is a board-certified psychiatrist and is licensed to practice medicine in 35 states. Dr. Toney has spent over 25 years designing and implementing successful specialized integrated utilization, chronic condition, and case management programs. He was the founder and CMO of Health Integrated (acquired by EXL), a leading care management company focused on integration of medical and behavioral health. While there, he pioneered Dynamic Somato-Social Theory™ (DSST), an interventional care management model integrating physical and behavioral medicine for high risk populations.

Prior to this, Dr. Toney served as the national medical director of CompCare’s managed behavioral health organization. He also developed a joint venture with the Hospital Corporation of America and the University of South Florida Psychiatry Center launching a multidisciplinary outpatient behavioral health practice in the Tampa Bay Area. Dr. Toney began his career in private practice in general adult psychiatry and specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety disorders and psychosomatic medicine.
