The workforce has been and continues to be the backbone of our health care system. This course will briefly look to the past for lessons learned and insights into our current workforce. It will highlight the impact of the pandemic and demonstrate key strategies for a healthy workforce of the future.
At the conclusion of this activity, attendees should be able to:
Briefly review the workforce of the past and its impact on the present state
Discuss the present workforce issues related to the pandemic
Outline the issues impacting the workforce of the future

This course is intended for Physicians of all specialties, Nurses, and Other Health Care Professionals with appropriate CME / CE credit offered for each profession.

All participants must achieve a final assessment score of at least seventy percent (70%) for recertification and continuing education credits. You have 60 days to complete the course after ordering.

Marie Cleary-Fishman is Vice President of Clinical Quality at the Health Research and Educational Trust (HRET). She has been with HRET since March 2014 and currently manages
A diverse portfolio of federally and privately funded projects. Marie has provided leadership in the following projects: Patient Engagement in the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA - PCORI), HUDDLE for Care (The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation), the Strategic Innovation Engine (IMPAQ), Project ACHIEVE (University of Kentucky), Patient Safety in Ambulatory Settings (AHRQ), and has contributed in her role as team member to Conflict and Optimal Resolution (CANDOR - AHRQ), HEN 2.0 (CMS) in addition to several data-oriented projects.

Marie received her BSN from North Park College, Chicago in 1983, an MS in Nursing Education from DePaul University, Chicago in 1988 and an MBA from North Park College in 1996. She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Certified in Patient Safety (CPPS), and Certified in Health Care Quality and Management (CHCQM).
