About the Authors:
Alan Boardman, LMSW, ACM-SW
Alan Boardman has been a Licensed Social Worker for 30 years. His career has focused on serving individuals living with chronic Behavioral Health conditions, Serious Mental Illness, and complex, co-occurring conditions. He develops, implements, and evaluates integrated case management programs that use data driven approaches to improve treatment outcomes. Currently, as the Director of Clinical Program Management in Behavioral Health at a large New York City based health plan, he is responsible for oversight of innovative pilots and case management programs. Additionally, he is responsible for the Behavioral Health Quality Management program, and its related strategic interventions. Case Management and care coordination are foundational to improving treatment outcomes as measured by NCQA’s HEDIS measures. Alan is currently serving as President of the CMSA Foundation, has served two terms as a Board Director, was a member of the CMSA Foundation Advisory Committee, and has completed CMSA’s Integrated Case Management program.
